Why:some one push him of his skateboard   

In 2009 Oscar cried at the skate park because someone pushed him.

They had an argument

When: On Friday at 2.30pm

Where: at the fish n chip shop

Why: son wanted 2 fish  

On Friday at 2.30 They had an argument at the fish and chip shop  because ther son wanted to two fish but he was only allowed to have one.

this week for math's we did Translation, Rotation ,Reflection 

Rotation is the action of rotating about an axis or center   
Translation is a translation is a transformation that occurs when a figure is moved from one location to another location without changing its size 
Reflection is A reflection is a transformation representing a flip of a figure

maths week 7

This week for math we had to find the coordinates from Onawe pa to Kaiapoi pa and the time it took 

Writing Tuna (Eels)

 Over the last couple of weeks we have been researching information about Tuna (eels). We have been learning to write a report using the information we have found.
Our challenges were to include a complex sentence and to use a hyphen followed by a list.

The longfin eels live around new Zealand and you can find them in dark waterways.

They use their sense of smell hunt its prey in a flash - swift mucky and dangerous.

They can live up to 100 year old and can grow up to two metres long and there are over 400 hundreds species of eels. Some species of eels travel up to 4,000 miles just to breed.

Dear Tama           

Do you remember when you went into lock-down for seven weeks because of the corona virus? At the start you were happy but later you got bored of staying at home all day and not doing anything. 

Your Favorite thing in lock-down was playing fortnite with your friends, playing on the trampoline with your sister and eating takeaways.

Jolly jars🐱🐱

This term, our Project Based Learning started with the teachers having to form groups and collaboratively create Jolly Jars for the school fair. This task helped us to begin exploring our PBL question for the term - How can we build community through our actions? We had to research ideas, be creative with our product, experiment with our materials and write instructions that could be followed by others. My group made snow globes for are PBL.

I learnt that instructions need to be clear and  make sense. They need a title materials and steps to follow.

Reflection on PBL:

For our Jolly Jar my group made snow globes.

I contributed to my group by bringing materials and I decorated the jar. I helped with making the instructions and listened to ideas.

What I learned about working with others was that all of us are different at doing different things.

How did we build community through our actions by raising money to finish the bike track.

on Friday I did top team it was fun there were lots of activities my favorite activity was the water activity we got wet doing them there it was lots of fun the first activity we did was the ski where you had to lift up your feet at the same time as your team and move forward the last obstacle we did was the water activity's me and my team had sooo much fun doing top team. (^^)   

going back in time👌

on Wednesday we went to ferrymead Park we all dressed up in old school clothes after that we are all split into two groups  one group had morning tea and the other group went to look around there was pineapple lumps, laming tons, crackers, cheese and pineapple on a stick and cookies we went on a tram at 1.00 clock after we went on the tram we went back to school.

The Museum 🗿

on Monday I went to the Museum  we will all split up In to groups some of us went to the gallery and the  rest of us went around the back insurance into a room we started fake fires and  we chopped things in half and smooth a rock  then we swapped over and my group went to Maori gallery the lady told us a story about a Taniwha and a beautiful lady after the lady told us the story we went to have lunch after we had lunch with you're allowed to play in the big tree after lunch we went back inside

This term for pbl we have been making things that are newspaper there was three challenges one we had to make clothes and another one you had to make a device that could bring the balloon to you the other one was you had to make a marble.

The can was three metres away from you my favorite challenge was the clothes my team made a Batman suit we had 10 metres of tape and 10 pieces of newspaper. In my team was Lincoln Millie Noah me.😄😄

winter sport week🏁

Over this winter sport me and my team have got better some matches we won and some we have lost. After every half we get Sour Snakes when we go on the bus we do a quiz if you get the question right you get a Sour Snake . I managed to get one right!

Over the season I got better at defending the ball and I got fitter over the ten weeks.hope to do it next winter.

on the 5 of August 2019 Tumu hub had a visit from House of bricks we all did 3 challenges the first  challenge we did was make a Bridge out of LEGO the 2 one we did was make a Tower out of Lego the tallest tower wins the last challenge was build 2 cars out of Lego whoever went the furthest won. hope to do it again in the distant future.

. this term for p.b.l we are doing it on  innovation . innovation is a new idea or thought that can make life easy we all went to difference classrooms and did different things like make a toy car that can go a to the end of the table without touching it we used balloons straws string paper .

My reading follow-up for this week is about an article called the plastic bank.

1. is to not use plastic and use reusable item
2. Beeswax is used instead of Glad Wrap to help the environment beeswax is good to wrap you food in 
3. stainless steel straws can be use more than once 
4. use compost bins for food scraps
5. use electric cars and public transport
6. recycle 
7. save electricity 
8. Use a Reusable Beverage Containers
9. use reusable bags
10. save water

Dance Party for PBL🎉

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was: How can we build community through our actions?

First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.

We created an action plan it was max's idea we all agreed on it
